Support for Families & Carers

Families, carers and supporters play a central role in keeping young people engaged in education, training and work. Yet clear, practical information is often hard to find.

This space brings together resources, guides and learning opportunities designed to help families understand systems, support self-advocacy and navigate complex or difficult conversations. Content will continue to be added and refined over time.

Resources in this area include:

  • Plain-language guides to pathways, SACE, VET, apprenticeships and training
  • Tools to help prepare for school meetings or case conferences
  • Practical approaches to building self-advocacy skills for young people and families
  • Links to community networks and shared learning opportunities
