High Potential & Twice-Exceptional Students

Some young people demonstrate strong academic, creative or problem-solving abilities, but experience school as a poor fit. This can be due to a mismatch between how they learn, how systems are structured, or how support is provided, not because of a lack of ability or motivation.

This space brings together ideas, resources and examples that focus on recognising strengths, understanding uneven learning experiences, and adjusting environments so young people can stay engaged and thrive.

Support in this area can include:

  • Exploring extension and enrichment opportunities
  • Supporting consideration of adjustments, sensory needs and flexible timetables
  • Helping to facilitate communication between families, schools and relevant professionals
