Learning Pathways

Every young person deserves options that reflect their goals. Explore how we support flexible learning, work-based pathways and distance education.

Flexible Learning

Some young people learn best in settings that offer smaller groups, different routines, or a more individualised pace. Clear information about flexible education options is not always easy to access.

This area focuses on helping families understand flexible learning programs, community-based settings and blended timetables, so they can make informed decisions about what may fit.

This can include:

  • Explaining the range of flexible learning options that may be available
  • Exploring which approaches might align with a young person’s goals
  • Supporting constructive conversations with schools and learning programs
  • Considering when Recognition of Prior Learning could acknowledge existing skills
  • Encouraging respectful, well-planned transitions between settings

We don’t place students into programs; we assist them in exploring what’s possible when they are seeking alternative options or finding mainstream options difficult to work within.
